A pianist, Cretu worked as a producer and keyboardist for Frank Farian, the German who was from the 1970s to the 1980s, behind the great commercial successes called Boney M and Milli Vanilli. Mihai Cretu, known under the artistic pseudonym of Curly MC, worked before his musical project Enigma with numerous producers, musicians and artists, including Sandra Cretu, Frank Farian, Boney M, Goombay Dance Band, Peter Cornelius, Manfred "Tissy" Thiers and Mike Oldfield.
